Lenovo 3000 C100 Information and Features
Open things up and you really get a feel for how dated this notebook appears. If it wasn’t for the rounded corners, I’d have trouble telling the difference between this and a six year old machine. The 4:3 ratio, 1,024 x 768 screens is the first indication of this. The quality isn’t bad, but it actually feels like a panel from an old notebook, possibly due to the slightly poor contrast ratio. Perhaps panel manufacturers are only concentrating on the widescreen panels now and haven’t updated 1,024 panels in the past few years. 1,024 x 768 is fine if this is only a secondary machine, but if I was using this all day everyday, I would want a little more desktop real estate to play with - that said, many notebook manufacturers maintain that a large portion of the customer base still wants this resolution in a large physical screen. The plastic used for the rest of the chassis is a finely pitted dark grey, much like you’d see on the inside of a budget mid-80’s car or on a canteen chair. Despite this apparent roughness, it’s actually fairly smooth to the touch. The optical drive is decorated to match. This is a contrast to the lid which has a smooth silver finish. ThinkPad laptops generally have excellent keyboards. The C100 isn't a ThinkPad, and it doesn't have a ThinkPad keyboard, but what it does have is pretty good. The keyboard is a bit more cramped than those on comparable systems, such as the Pavilion dv4000, but the keys are firm, wide, and very comfortable to type on. The touch pad is a bit small, though, and the touch-pad buttons don't give as much as we'd like; alas, it lacks the ThinkPad's red, eraser-head pointing stick. Above the keyboard sits a lonely mute button--the extent of the C100's dedicated multimedia controls--and one other button, which summons Lenovo's useful system-management and help utility. Both the Inspiron E1505 and the Pavilion dv4000 have dedicated multimedia buttons and full external volume controls. Lenovo 3000 C100 notebook also sports standard DVD/CD-RW combo optical drive and has integrated 802.11/b/g wireless network connection, a 10/100 Ethernet adapter, built-in 56 kbps fax/modem and 3-in-1 media card reader. Instant On feature of Lenovo 3000 C100 notebook allows playing MP3s, music CDs, and DVDs or look at digital photos without having to boot into Windows XP, and the Express Card 54 slot offering more ‘future-proof’ upgrades than a traditional PC Card slot or an Express 34 slot. Wi-Fi ready Lenovo 3000 C100 notebook PC offers four-pin FireWire, four USB 2.0, 3-in-1 digital media reader (SD/MMC/MS), Audio/S-video in, External Display (VGA), External Microphone/Line-In, Headphone/Line out, IEEE 1394, RJ-11, RJ-45, and TV/S-Video Out port. Lenovo 3000 C100 Features:- * Intel Celeron M Processor 370 * 1.5 GHz, 1 MB L2 cache, 400 MHz front-side bus (FSB) * Intel 915 GM Chipset * 256-MB DDR2 SDRAM, 533 MHz * 40-GB 5400 rpm 2.5-inch HDD * DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive * 15-inch XGA TFT display, 1024 x 768 resolutions * Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 (GMA 900) * Integrated 802.11/b/g Wireless Network Connection * 56 kbps V.92 modem/fax * 10/100 Ethernet LAN adapter * 3-in-1 media card reader * One ExpressCard/54 slot * Bluetooth 2.0 (optional) * Ports: 4 USB 2.0 ports, 4 pin FireWire, VGA and S-Video ports, PCMCIA slot * 8-cell Li-Ion battery, 4.5 hours backup * Dimension: 265 mm x 360 mm x 32.2 mm * Weight: 2.90 Kg

Creative Zen Micro Mp3 Player Review
Jukebox Zen Micro Review With so many portable MP3 players it is hard to tell which one has the most features compared to many other MP3 players in the market. Those who just want a simple MP3 player will find the zen micro to be one of the easiest to operate music player devices today.
Since the jukebox micro is all about size and portability the hard drive can only hold about 4.7 Gigabytes worth of songs which can ad up to 1360 songs encoded at 128kbps which is today's quality standard (CD quality). There are other versions available which feature upgraded memory of up to 7GB which can hold around three thousand songs following the rule shown above.
As far as sound quality, the Company Creative has received several awards for sound and product quality, and we have seen several times in the past that Creative's reviews have been even better than iPod's. The exterior design of this particular MP3 player allows for several exchangeable colors, among the most popular ones we have white, black and blue. Besides its exteriors appearance one of the best features this small player has is the battery life which can go up to 14 hours of continuous MP3 playback, now you and I know that we won't be listening for 14 straight hours of music unless we are on a plane flying to destinations across the globe.
This MP3 player is mostly for younger folks who don't mind small menus and touch scrolling buttons, but be careful as to how hard you press these buttons since just a light touch is enough to make them react, you can always control the button sensitivity within the player's main menu. The software which is bundled with the player is easy to use and the installation is straight forward, although the organizer could have been improved in recent updates by the company as well as the firmware version.
This particular model has been such as success that the manufacturing company decided to upgrade the model by including a "photo" version with a color screen giving this small 8GB version a fully customizable background according to your favorite photos. The line of Zen micro MP3 players is quite innovative, so much that after its release iPod came up with a Nano version of its player in order to bring some market competition, and this is what started the war on full color screen mini-sized MP3 players. With many other companies joining the party the future of portable music players looks very promising.
